The White Tiger is the western guardian among the Four Symbols of Chinese celestial tradition. Its powerful animal form gives the idea of guarding a vivid shape. On this pendant, the tiger’s position over the upper edge makes that presence visible before you begin to read the coin.

The Shan Gui face belongs to the visual language of charm coins, whose inscriptions expressed wishes for protection rather than a value for trade. The red field remains broad enough for the silver characters to stand apart from the surrounding sculpture. The square opening brings a crisp, still shape into the more animated frame. Looking closely reveals contrasting treatments: flat color, fine lettering and the higher relief of the animal.

Give the irregular edge space on a plain shirt, using your own simple chain or cord. A black background makes the raised silver frame especially clear; an open denim shirt adds texture without covering the motif. Keep other pendants at a different height so the tiger’s head and paws remain visible.
