TaoWards Taoist Silver Yin Yang Bagua Coin Pendant
Protection
A handmade S925 silver coin pendant with a yin-yang center and copper-accented Shan Gui inscriptions on one face, and a Bagua design on the reverse. Its patterned border, scalloped edge and top threading hole keep the details within a complete circular outline.
- A yin-yang center you can recognize: the paired shapes give the detailed inscription face a clear focal point and a familiar meaning of related opposites.
- Two related traditions: Shan Gui writing expresses a protective wish; the Bagua reverse adds the Eight Trigrams’ imagery of nature and change.
- More than a plain circular rim: the repeating border and scooped edge give the coin a distinct outline and several levels of detail.
- Your own cord or chain pairing: only the pendant is included; the cords and decorative beads in photographs show styling possibilities.
One pendant only. Necklaces, chains and cords shown in photos are for styling and are not included.

The design, in detail
Get to know this piece
The week is full of things you promised other people. Then Saturday arrives, and you realize you have left no time for the walk, the book or the unhurried lunch you wanted. Making space for yourself can be part of caring for life, too.
The yin-yang center gives that idea a small, familiar shape. Worn as a pendant, it can be a reminder to leave room for the other part of your life, while the surrounding traditional inscriptions carry a wish for peace along the way.
A protected center, with room for change
Yin and yang describe contrasting qualities in relationship, such as stillness and movement or shade and light. The two curved shapes fit into one circle. On this pendant, that image gives the surrounding lines of writing a common center, making relationship part of the composition itself.
The front belongs to the Shan Gui charm tradition. Its thunder-command and Taishang Laojun inscriptions express protective authority within Taoist belief, associated with wishes for harmful influences to stay away. This is a charm-coin language of well-wishing, carried here in jewelry form.
On the reverse, the Eight Trigrams refer to heaven, earth, thunder, wind, water, fire, mountain and lake through combinations of solid and broken lines. Together with the yin-yang center, they can invite a personal reflection: circumstances change, and there may be more than one useful way to respond.
A detailed coin with a softer outline
The front has distinct rings of detail: the small central symbol, columns of lettering, a repeating angular border, and the scalloped outer edge. This organization keeps the dense design from reading as one undifferentiated surface. Your eye has a route from the center outward.
Warm copper accents stand against silver, while the scooped edge changes the outline in small repeated intervals. The top hole sits within the disc rather than adding a tall bail, keeping the overall silhouette close to a coin. The Bagua reverse offers a second face to wear outward.
A plain black or cream top gives the fine writing a clear background. Choose a separate slender cord or a chain with a connector that fits the hole, and keep nearby beads simple if you want the border to remain visible. Pictured bead-and-cord combinations are examples only.
