At TaoWards, we choose jewelry with that everyday relationship in mind. A piece should be something you enjoy wearing, with a story you can get to know over time.

Why Taoist symbols

A reason to look closer.

We’re drawn to Taoist ideas about living with change and paying attention to the world around us. They give us something to think about in the middle of an ordinary day: when to act, when to pause, and what deserves our attention.

The symbols invite that same curiosity. A yin-yang curve, the geometry of the Bagua, or the unfamiliar writing of a sacred-name sign can be the beginning of a much longer story. That depth is why we choose them.

For some people, these forms carry faith or family memories. For others, they are a first encounter with Taoist culture. We want to make room for both, while being careful about the histories we tell.

Our eye for a piece

It starts with the details.

A broad band with an uneven surface. A clean line of red running through silver. An inscription tucked inside a ring. These are the things that make us stop and look.

Our collection centers on S925 sterling silver, with copper and cinnabar details on selected pieces. We favor the contrast between a strong outline and something finer that only reveals itself up close.

We also think about what surrounds a piece. An intricate pendant can sit easily against a plain T-shirt; a textured ring can be enough beside a soft knit sleeve. We choose with that kind of everyday wear in mind.

The practical side

Care is in the small things.

Our pieces are handmade, so small variations in weight are expected. We like jewelry with visible texture and details that reward a closer look.
